Review: Memorial of the Convent - Blindness by Jose Saramago

Bene, se desiderate read it and I recommend it highly, you will know that with a style completely different from what I had hitherto known (or at least I had ever read).

punctuation, the 'use of commas, the stories are told in a special and unique, irreverent and at times overwhelming, whether you talk about the highest heaven, that the baseness of our body.

Saramago is well, take it or leave it, love it or hate it.

And I have loved in particular in the tale Blindness.

The tale tells the story of the Memorial of the Convent and life in Portugal in 1700, combining fantasy, history and social humanity and inhumanity with the 'unique style of Saramago.

But the real masterpiece in my opinion this is Blindness Saramago tells the story of a strange disease that makes it suddenly blind and with his sarcastic and irreverent style, explores all aspects of 'human soul capable of rising to the 'highest and create a paradise on earth and fall further down the hell.

to frame the sentence that concludes the story, eternally present, and absolutely true, with the hope that we one day ....

It takes courage

In this' time when the easiest thing is to say what gli altri dovrebbero fare, ma non cambiare le proprie opinioni o abitudini negative.

In this' time when we feel the superiority of our Western civilization, of our traditions, but in truth we will not know the basics and explain why we think and act like that.

In this' age in which we do not know, we read the texts that have shaped our collective culture, our way of seeing and interpreting the facts, but not even having read and understood them feel "superior."

in almost 'a time when the word "diversity" is a problem, not an opportunity.

In this' era when no one realizes that human civilization has progressed only when different cultures have learned to live and become contaminated with the best of each of them in mutual respect, while more & # 249; easy to oppose the 'one against the' other.

Where there is always someone who knows everything, who knows how to work it out, and you are asked to think less of yourself. In fact if you do not think it is better ..

In this' era where the motto might be "Every man for himself and who cares about another" maybe we should accept the challenge of a prayer and to stop surviving and start living.

Certainly it takes courage!

Life is an opportunity, coglila.

Love life as it is fully

Amala, unpretentious;

love it when they love you or hate you when,

love it when no one understands you,

or when everyone will understand.

Amala when you all leave,

or when you highlight a king.

Amala when they steal all

or when you give him.

Amala when it makes sense

or when it seems not to have even a little.

Amala in complete happiness,

or in absolute solitude.

Amala when you're strong,

or when you feel weak.

Amala when you're scared,

or when you have a mountain of courage.

Amala not only for the great pleasures

and enormous satisfaction,

love her even for the small joys.

Amala even if you do not give what he could,

love her even if it's not like you want it.
